Questions about this item
Will the gold-plated pins on this adapter need cleaning or replacement over time?
The gold-plated pins resist corrosion and maintain conductivity, so they do not require scheduled cleaning or replacement under normal use.
What limits the 10 Gbps transfer rate during sustained file copies?
The host device must provide a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port; if the port is only USB 3.0 the speed will fall to 5 Gbps.
Does the adapter get hot or draw extra power when used all day for charging and data?
It supports up to 5 V 3 A power output and has no active components, so it runs cool and adds negligible power draw during continuous operation.
