Connects a USB-C device to a DisplayPort monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz, 4K 144 Hz or 2K 240 Hz over three metres
This three-metre cable carries DisplayPort 1.4 signals from a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port to a DisplayPort monitor or projector. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz, 4K up to 144 Hz and 2K up to 165 Hz. The link works with laptops, smartphones and tablets that implement DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
Verify that the USB-C port on your computer, phone or tablet explicitly supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; a plain USB-C port without that capability will not transmit video. Both the source device and the display must also support the target resolution and refresh rate you intend to use. Ensure your operating system is updated to the latest version for full compatibility with ultra-wide monitors such as the Samsung Odyssey G9 series.
This cable upgrades from shorter USB-C to DisplayPort leads that limit desk placement or from older cables capped at 4K 60 Hz. The extra length and HBR3 bandwidth make the jump worthwhile when you need 4K high-refresh gaming, 5K productivity or 8K media playback at a comfortable distance.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The box contains only the USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable itself; no adapters or power bricks are included and none are required for video operation.
The 3 m cable supports the full 4K 3840x2160 at 144 Hz specification, so length does not reduce the maximum refresh rate.
8K 7680x4320 at 60 Hz works only when both the source device and the monitor support 8K and the USB-C port implements DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
