USB4 40 Gbps NVMe enclosure

The Vszerda enclosure turns an M-key NVMe SSD into a portable USB-C drive using the ASM2464 controller. It accepts 2280-size modules up to 8 TB and connects through a USB4 Type-C port rated at 40 Gbps. The aluminium shell doubles as a heatsink and requires no driver installation.

Capacity and headroom

The enclosure fits a single 2280 NVMe stick and tops out at 8 TB of usable space. Theoretical ceiling is 3200 MB/s for both read and write, with a 20 Gbps fallback when linked over USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. SATA M.2 drives are not supported, so only PCIe NVMe modules work.

Bundled screwdriver and plug-and-play
