OTG adapter for legacy Mini-A ports
This Vszerda VMC-UAM1 cable provides a USB 2.0 On-The-Go connection with a Mini-A male plug on one end and a standard USB female port on the other. It allows compatible handycams, PDAs and phones with a Mini-A socket to act as a host for flash drives, keyboards or other USB peripherals. The connector is specifically Mini-A and will not fit Mini-B ports.
Sustained transfer at USB 2.0 rates
The cable complies with USB 1.1, 2.0 and OTG specifications and supports data transfer speeds up to 480Mbit/sec. Under continuous use it maintains the standard USB 2.0 high-speed signalling without requiring external power. Performance is limited by the host device's own OTG implementation and the attached peripheral's capabilities.
Check your device has a Mini-A socket
Before ordering, verify that your equipment features a genuine Mini-A OTG port rather than the more common Mini-B connector. The plug on this cable is keyed for Mini-A only and cannot be inserted into a Mini-B receptacle. No driver installation is required on the host side, but the host must support USB OTG host mode.

Questions about this item
Does the Mini-A male connector draw noticeable power or generate heat when the cable is used continuously for data transfer?
The cable is a passive USB 2.0 OTG link rated for 480 Mbit/s transfer and does not contain active electronics that would produce measurable heat or power draw during extended use.
What device must already have a Mini-A OTG port for this cable to function as intended?
The host device — such as a Handycam, PDA or phone — must provide a USB 2.0 On-The-Go Mini-A receptacle so the male Mini-A plug can connect and enable host mode.
Will this cable work with older USB 1.1 peripherals like a legacy keyboard or mouse that I still use?
Yes, the cable complies with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 specifications, so USB 1.1 devices plugged into the female Type-A port will operate at their native 1.1 speeds.
