Tool-free lever connectors join solid, stranded and flexible copper wires from 20 to 10 AWG in a compact transparent housing, rated 30 A and 600 V, supplied as a 50-piece box
These WAGO 221-612 Lever-Nuts accept 20-10 AWG solid and stranded copper wires in a tool-free lever design. The transparent housing lets you verify strip length and full insertion at a glance. Each pack supplies 50 pieces for residential or commercial splicing tasks. They are UL Listed and rated for 30 A at up to 600 V in building wire applications.
The connector handles only two conductors per port, so multi-wire junctions require additional units. It is rated for copper conductors between 20 and 10 AWG; aluminium or larger gauge wires fall outside the UL listing. Maximum voltage is 600 V for building wire and 1000 V for signs or luminaires, so higher voltage systems need a different solution. The 30 A current rating also caps the load you can place on a single splice.
The compact black housing uses WAGO spring-pressure technology trusted since 1951 for vibration-proof, maintenance-free connections. Levers lift and lock without tools, and the mechanism is reusable — just raise the lever to release or reposition a wire. Transparent sides speed up inspection during installation and troubleshooting. The 221-612 model is larger than the 221-412 version to accommodate 10 AWG conductors.

The 221-612 is the new 10AWG version; the 221-412 covers 20-10 AWG solid and stranded. Pick 221-612 when you need the larger conductor capacity.
The connector is UL listed for up to 30 amps at 600 volts on building wire, or 1000 volts on signs and luminaires, so it handles typical branch-circuit loads within those limits.
The lever opens the spring cage to accept any mix of solid, stranded or flexible copper from 20 to 10 AWG; closing the lever locks the connection tool-free and allows visual confirmation through the transparent housing.
