Two-pack USB-C to Ethernet adapters

This two-pack supplies a spare or a second workstation with a Gigabit RJ45 port over USB-C. Each gray adapter weighs 0.77 ounces and measures 2.05 by 0.89 by 0.55 inches. Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation on supported devices.

Gigabit Ethernet speed up to 1000Mbps

The adapter delivers up to 1000Mbps and is downward compatible with 100, 10 and 1Mbps networks. Achieving the full gigabit rate requires a CAT6 or higher Ethernet cable. The USB-C connector must be fully seated for reliable performance.

Aluminium shell aids heat dissipation

An aluminium shell cover promotes heat dissipation during extended use. A braided nylon cable adds durability for frequent plugging. An LED indicator shows link and activity status. The adapter draws power from the host USB-C port with no external supply needed.

Questions about this item

What does the 1000Mbps headline speed mean once I plug this into my laptop?

You can reach gigabit throughput when the adapter is connected to a CAT6 or better cable and a 1Gbps port; otherwise it falls back to 100/10/1Mbps automatically.

Which USB-C standard does the adapter use and what does that cap in practice?

It uses a standard USB-C connection with Thunderbolt 3 compatibility, so the practical ceiling is the 1000Mbps Ethernet link rather than the USB bus.

What physical space and mounting does the adapter need?

The dongle measures 2.05x0.89x0.55 inch and weighs 1.2 ounces, so it plugs directly into a USB-C port without extra brackets or cables.
