The Walter 01M533 Prentice drill bit is a heavy-duty large-diameter tool built for portable drills, drill presses and magnetic-base drills with a ½” chuck. Its cobalt blend construction and extra-hard tips extend the interval between re-sharpenings. The 135-degree point geometry removes the need for a separate pilot hole in most materials.

Installation and common issues

The bit fits any ½” chuck and the three flats on the shank prevent slippage during high-torque drilling. No special adapters or pilot holes are required thanks to the exclusive point design. The main limitation is the shank size: machines with smaller chucks cannot accept this bit.
