Watts 8B Vacuum Breaker 3/4" GHT

The Watts 8B is a brass vacuum breaker designed for 3/4 inch garden hose thread connections. It protects potable water supplies by preventing back-siphonage on residential and light commercial hose bibbs or irrigation outlets.

Installation uses standard GHT threading

The unit threads directly onto a 3/4 inch GHT male fitting without special tools. Over-tightening can damage the rubber seal, and debris in the water line may cause the check mechanism to stick open, so flush the line before fitting.

Rated for 125 psi and 180 °F

The breaker handles continuous pressures up to 125 psi and water temperatures up to 180 °F, meeting ASSE 1011 and cCSAus B 64.2 requirements. It is not suited for constant-pressure applications downstream of a valve or for pressures exceeding the rated maximum.
