3/8 in Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breaker
The Watts LF288A is a lead-free brass vacuum breaker designed for 3/8 in NPT connections. It prevents back-siphonage in potable water systems and meets ANSI A112.1.1, ASSE 1001, CSA B64, NSF/ANSI 372 and UPC standards. The silicone seal operates reliably across a temperature range of 33 to 180 degrees F.
125 psi pressure rating and disc float operation
The device handles working pressures up to 125 psi and uses a disc float mechanism to vent atmosphere when negative pressure occurs. It is suited for low-hazard, continuous-pressure applications such as laboratory faucets or appliance supply lines. Installations requiring higher pressure ratings or reduced-pressure principle assemblies will need a different device.
Lead-free brass body with compact 2 1/4 in height
The lead-free brass construction satisfies NSF/ANSI 372 for potable water safety. Its 2 1/4 in height and 1 3/4 in width allow installation in tight cabinet spaces. The 3/8 in NPT threads connect directly to standard fittings without adapters. Systems needing larger pipe sizes or integrated shut-off valves require alternative components.

Questions about this item
Will the LF288A vacuum breaker fit the 3/8 in NPT threads on my existing supply line?
Yes, the LF288A uses a 3/8 in NPT connection that matches standard 3/8 in NPT supply threads.
How can I verify the LF288A is preventing backflow after installation?
Run water through the fixture; the internal disc float should rise to seal the vent and drop to vent air when flow stops, showing normal operation.
Does the LF288A come with pipe tape or adapters, or must I buy them separately?
The box contains only the vacuum breaker body; pipe thread sealant and any needed adapters are purchased separately.
