SKU CH-62PS-9S3M8

A 7.3 inch raw e-paper panel shows six colours at 800×480 without a driver board

  • 6-colour E-Ink Spectra 6 panel shows vivid images without backlight
  • 800×480 pixel resolution on a 7.3 inch diagonal for sharp detail
  • Ultra-low power draw — energy used only during screen refresh
  • Raw display without driver board for custom integration projects
  • Retains last image indefinitely after power is removed

7.3-inch 6-colour e-paper display

This 7.3-inch raw panel uses E Ink Spectra 6 technology to show six colours at a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It is aimed at developers and integrators building custom low-power signage, shelf labels or portable instruments who can supply their own driver board and controller.

Upgrade from monochrome or three-colour panels

The six-colour palette adds red, yellow and orange to the standard black and white, so graphics that need colour coding or branding become readable without a backlight. The jump is worth it when the application demands more visual states than a three-colour screen can provide but still requires zero power to hold an image.

800×480 pixel workspace

The resolution comfortably handles simple icons, large text and basic charts on the 7.3-inch diagonal. It runs out when fine detail, small fonts or full-colour photographs are required, and the raw panel alone cannot drive itself without an external controller.

Questions about this item

What physical connector does the 7.3 inch raw panel use to attach to a driver board?

The raw panel ships with a 24-pin FPC tail that plugs directly into a compatible driver HAT.

Which step is most often missed when wiring the 800×480 display to a Raspberry Pi HAT?

Insert the FPC with the contacts facing the PCB, lock the ZIF latch, then enable the SPI overlay in config.txt before the first refresh.

What component will need replacement if the 6-color Spectra 6 panel shows permanent ghosting after many refresh cycles?

The raw display module itself must be swapped; the separate driver board can be reused with the new panel.
