Wide-Angle Vision Module

The WaveShare IMX219-160 is an 8 megapixel camera accessory built around the IMX219 sensor. It delivers a 3280 x 2464 resolution through a 160 degree diagonal field of view. The module targets developers working on Jetson Nano or Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3/3+ platforms who need expansive visual coverage for AI inference tasks such as face recognition or road mark detection.

Compact Integration Footprint

The board measures 25mm x 24mm and includes four screw holes for secure mounting inside tight enclosures. A 15-pin FFC with opposite-sides contact ships in the box at 16cm length, while a 60cm variant is available separately for flexible routing. The unit provides a 3.3V power output and connects directly to the CSI interface on supported compute modules without additional adapters.

This module replaces standard camera boards that offer a narrower angle of view, enabling single-camera coverage where multiple units were previously required.
