Universal 14-in-1 dock for multi-display work

The Wavlink UG69DK7 adds up to two external monitors to laptops that only have one video output. It connects through a single USB-C cable and works with Windows 10, 11, ChromeOS 100 and macOS 10.14 or later. The built-in DisplayLink DL-6950 chip handles the extra graphics load without needing a discrete GPU. It is aimed at office users who need more screen space for documents, code or browser windows.

Vertical aluminium chassis with front-facing ports

The silver enclosure stands upright at 5.91 x 7.87 x 3.15 inches, leaving a small desk footprint. Six USB 3.0 Type-A ports sit at 5 Gbps for keyboards, mice, drives or dongles. Two DisplayPort and two HDMI sockets share two video groups; within each group only one port is active at a time, with DisplayPort taking priority. A Gigabit Ethernet jack, 3.5 mm headset jack and DC 20 V power input complete the rear panel.

Replaces single-port hubs and basic USB-C adapters

Older hubs usually offer one 4K output and two or three USB ports; this dock drives dual 4K at 60 Hz or a single 5K at 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz using both DisplayPort sockets. The jump is worth it when you need two high-resolution screens plus six downstream USB ports and wired networking from one cable. It does not charge the host laptop, so the original power supply stays connected.

Questions about this item

What video bandwidth does the DisplayLink DL-6950 chip provide over the USB-C link to the laptop?

The DL-6950 chip drives two 4K displays at 60 Hz or a single 5K display at 60 Hz over the USB-C connection, using DisplayLink compression rather than native Thunderbolt video lanes.

How much desk depth does the vertical aluminium chassis require?

The dock measures 7.87 inches deep, 5.91 inches wide and 3.15 inches high, so allow roughly 8 inches of front-to-back space for the upright footprint.

Which driver must be installed before the first connection on Windows or macOS?

Download and run the latest DisplayLink driver from the DisplayLink website before plugging in the dock; without it the video outputs will not activate.
