Quad 5K docking station

The Wavlink WL-UG69PD8 Pro adds four external monitors, wired networking, audio, card reading and multiple USB peripherals to a laptop through one USB-C cable. It is built for professionals who need a large multi-screen workspace without opening their computer. An included 180 W power supply delivers up to 100 W to the host and 30 W to a front USB-C port.

Display limits and port groups

Each of the four video streams can use either a DisplayPort or an HDMI connector, but not both at the same time. Dual-display configurations reach 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz, while quad-display tops out at 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. The latest driver is required to achieve 5120 x 1440 at 60 Hz on a single stream.

Host requirements check

Verify that your device’s USB-C port supports video output and Power Delivery before ordering. Performance on Ubuntu, Chrome OS and Android may be limited compared with Windows or macOS. The front USB-C port supplies 30 W charging only and does not carry data.

Questions about this item

Should I use the four DisplayPort outputs or the four HDMI outputs for my four monitors?

Each video stream group lets you use either one DisplayPort or one HDMI port, not both at the same time, so pick the connector type that matches your monitors and use one port per screen.

What resolution can I actually run on four screens at once?

Quad display is supported up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz on each monitor.

My laptop only has a standard USB-C port — will the 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and 10 Gbps USB-A port still work at full speed?

The dock’s upstream link is USB 3.1 Gen 2 at 10 Gbps, so the 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and the single 10 Gbps USB-A port can operate at their rated speeds provided your laptop’s USB-C port also supports 10 Gbps data.
