  • Over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection safeguards the access point

Purpose & Audience

This 12 V 18 W AC adapter powers Aruba indoor wireless access points including the RAP-3 series models RAP-3WN, RAP-3WN-US, RAP-3WN-JP and RAP-3WN-IL. It is intended for network administrators or installers replacing a lost or damaged original supply.

Installation & Common Issues

The unit plugs directly into a 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz mains outlet and connects to the access point via its integrated cable. The 6.5 ft cord length may limit placement if the mounting point is far from a socket; plan cable routing before fixing the device.

Fit & Alternatives

This adapter suits deployments that require a direct 12 V 18 W replacement with FCC, CE and RoHS certification. Buyers who need a higher wattage supply, a different output voltage, or a multi-port power injector should look at other products.
