Compatible Drives

This AC adapter is built for the FD Fantom Drives G-Force3 series, covering the 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB external hard-disk models. It supplies the correct voltage and connector for those drives without modification. Buyers who own a different drive family or a solid-state enclosure will need a separate power supply.

Power Connection

The unit accepts worldwide mains voltage from 100 VAC to 240 VAC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, so it plugs directly into any standard wall outlet. A 6.5 ft power cord reaches distant sockets and frees the drive from bulky power bricks. Builders using a rack or tight desk space should verify the cord length fits their layout.

Protection Headroom

Integrated safeguards include over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and total-power protection plus a smart chip for overheating prevention. These features handle normal load spikes and brief mains irregularities. The adapter is not designed for industrial surge environments or continuous operation beyond the rated drive specifications.
