Replacement AC Adapter for HP TouchSmart Omni

This WAWEIS AC adapter replaces the original charger for HP TouchSmart Omni models 681059-001 and TPC-BA521. It delivers a 7.4mm by 5.0mm connector fit for direct connection. The unit is new and built for 100 to 240VAC input at 50 or 60Hz. A ten-foot power cord is included for flexible placement.

Upgrading from a Damaged or Lost OEM Charger

The adapter serves as a direct substitute when the factory power supply fails, is misplaced or shows connector wear. It matches the original voltage and connector specifications so the laptop charges without modification. The jump is worth it when the original unit no longer holds a secure connection or the cable sheath is frayed. Safety circuitry includes over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and total power protection.

Practical Limits of the Barrel Connector Interface

The 7.4mm by 5.0mm barrel plug fits only devices designed for that exact dimensions. Polarity and voltage must match the laptop's requirements or the unit will not function. The ten-foot cord length sets the maximum reach from a mains outlet. World-wide input voltage covers 100 to 240VAC at 50 or 60Hz for international use. Certifications include FCC, CE and RoHS compliance.

Questions about this item

What connector size does the WAWEIS AC Adapter use for the HP TouchSmart Omni?

The adapter uses a 7.4 mm outer diameter and 5.0 mm inner diameter barrel connector for the HP TouchSmart Omni models.

How do I install the WAWEIS AC Adapter, and what step is often missed?

Plug the DC barrel connector firmly into the laptop until it clicks, connect the AC cord to the brick, then plug the mains plug into a 100-240 VAC outlet; the step often missed is seating the barrel connector fully so the pin makes contact.
