Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 12 V 2.5 A adapter produce when running continuously?

The unit has no fan and relies on passive cooling, so it runs silently; warmth is normal but over-heating protection shuts it down if internal temperature rises too high.

Which cables or connectors must I already have to use this BX-1202500 adapter?

The 10 ft cord ends in a barrel plug that fits the HTC Vive Base Station 1.0 power port; no extra cables are required if that device is the target.

Will this 12 V 2.5 A supply work safely alongside the original Link Box that came with my Vive?

This adapter is explicitly not a replacement for the Link Box; it powers only the Base Station, so keep the Link Box connected to the headset as designed.
