weastlinks USB 2.0 Printer Cable AM to BM 3M (9.84ft)

SKU CH-GM1H-9M2TZ

Connects USB 2.0 printers and scanners at up to 480 Mbps over 9.84 ft with foil-braid shielding

  • Durable PVC jacket resists wear for long cable life
  • Corrosion-resistant connectors ensure a secure fit every time
  • Foil braid shielding blocks RF/EM interference for clean signals
  • Up to 480 Mbps transfer speed handles USB 2.0 data fast
  • Backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and 1.0 devices

Cable type and intended use

This USB 2.0 printer cable connects a Type-A host to a Type-B device such as a printer, scanner or label printer. The 9.84ft length suits setups where the peripheral sits away from the computer. It is not for users who need a shorter desktop cable or a different connector format.

Sustained transfer behaviour

The cable supports up to 480Mbps for USB 2.0 hardware and remains backwards compliant with USB 1.1 at 12Mbps and USB 1.0 at 1.5Mbps. Foil braid shielding reduces RF and EM interference so the signal stays clean during long print or scan jobs. It does not serve applications that require higher bandwidth than the 2.0 specification allows.

Build quality and daily handling

A flexible PVC jacket and corrosion-resistant connectors make repeated plugging and unplugging straightforward. The shielding construction helps the cable withstand regular movement without noise or signal loss. Buyers who need a ruggedised outdoor-rated cable or a locking connector should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 3 metre length add any signal noise or power loss when the printer runs all day?

Foil braid shielding protects against RF and EM interference, keeping a clear signal with little bandwidth loss even during continuous use.

What port must my printer already have for this cable to connect?

The cable ends in a USB Type-B connector, so the printer needs a matching Type-B port.

Will the 480 Mbps USB 2.0 speed work with my older USB 1.1 or 1.0 devices?

Yes, the cable is backwards compliant with full-speed USB 1.1 at 12 Mbps and low-speed USB 1.0 at 1.5 Mbps.
