Trek Collapsible Umbrella – 19 in Closed

The Trek collapsible umbrella is a wind-resistant travel umbrella built with an industrial-strength fiberglass frame and water-repellent fabric made from up to 21 recycled plastic bottles. It is designed for commuters and travellers who need reliable rain protection that fits easily into a backpack or car. Buyers needing a larger canopy for multiple people or a golf-sized arc should look elsewhere.

Auto-Open Operation and Reflective Trim

The umbrella opens automatically with a one-touch button for quick deployment in sudden downpours, while closing is a manual action that collapses the frame back to its 19-inch length. An ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during extended carry, and 360° reflective trim improves visibility in low-light conditions. Users who prefer a fully automatic open-and-close cycle will find the manual close step does not match that workflow.

55 mph Wind-Tunnel Rating and 40 in Open Diameter

Wind-tunnel testing confirms the canopy withstands sustained gusts up to 55 mph without inverting or breaking, and the open diameter spans 40 inches tip-to-tip with a full arc coverage of 50 inches. The fiberglass frame absorbs buffeting over long exposures rather than snapping under short peaks, and the water-repellent fabric dries quickly between showers. Shoppers requiring a wider 56-inch or 66-inch arc for heavy storm coverage will not find that span here.
