Compatible MacBook models

This hard case is designed exclusively for the MacBook Pro 15 inch with Retina Display model A1398 released from late 2012 through 2015. It matches the exact dimensions of that model to provide a secure fit. The blue shell snaps on without tools and allows the Apple logo to show through. All ports, vents and the hinge remain fully accessible while the case is installed.

Unsuitable models

This case will not fit any MacBook Pro 13 inch, MacBook Air, or the older 15 inch model A1286 with an optical drive. It is also incompatible with the 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch with Touch Bar model A1707. Buyers who own those models must look for a different case. Verifying the model number on the bottom of the laptop is essential before ordering.

Critical specification

The only specification that determines fit is the MacBook model number A1398 printed on the underside of the device. No other measurement or feature guarantees compatibility. If the model number differs, the case will not align with ports, vents or the hinge. Always confirm the A1398 marking before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does this blue hard case fit any MacBook Pro 15-inch model or only the Retina A1398?

It fits only the MacBook Pro 15.4-inch Retina Display models A1398 released 2012 through 2015. It will not fit the 13-inch, Air, the older A1286 with CD drive, or the 2016/2017 Touch Bar A1707.

Will the Apple logo still be visible through the blue shell?

Yes, the case has no cut-out for the logo; the Apple emblem shines through the blue material while the shell remains fully closed.

Are the ports and vents accessible without removing the case?

The snap-on design leaves every port open, lets the lid open fully, and includes vent slots that match the laptop's airflow plus rubberised feet for grip.
