13 inch Crystal Black Hard Case

This hard-shell case fits MacBook Pro 13 inch models released from 2016 through 2022 including M1 and M2 versions. It snaps onto the top and bottom to shield the chassis from scratches and minor impacts. Two silicone keyboard covers are included for models with and without Touch Bar.

For owners who verify their A model number

Buyers who can confirm their MacBook shows A2338, A2289, A2251, A2159, A1989, A1706 or A1708 on the bottom will get a precise fit. Users with any other MacBook model including Air, larger Pro sizes or earlier 13 inch generations should not purchase this case.

Model number match is the deciding factor

The case dimensions of 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.59 inch correspond only to the listed A numbers. If the sticker on your laptop does not read one of those seven codes the case will not align correctly.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 x 8.5 x .6 inch case fit my 2016 A1708 MacBook Pro 13 inch alongside an existing dongle hub?

The case matches the 11.97 x 8.36 x .59 inch laptop body, so it adds minimal bulk; dongles plugged into the side ports will still seat, but the hub must clear the .6 inch total thickness.

How can I verify the Crystal Black hard case is seated correctly on my M2 A2338 after installation?

All four corners should click flush, the lid closes without gap, and the Apple logo remains visible through the transparent shell — no cut-outs means full coverage.

Does the package include both keyboard covers for Touch Bar and non-Touch Bar 13 inch models or only one?

Two silicone keyboard covers are supplied — one for 2022-2020 Touch Bar models (A2338, A2251, A2289) and one for 2016-2019 non-Touch Bar models (A1706, A1708, A1989, A2159).
