Model-specific fit

This case is built for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 inch 2019 models SM-T290 and SM-T295 only. It does not fit the 2019 S Pen version SM-P200 or SM-P205, nor the 2018 SM-T387 or 2017 SM-T380 and SM-T385 tablets. Buyers who own any other Galaxy Tab A 8.0 model cannot use this case.

Protection in daily use

A three-layer hybrid shell combines rigid PC with shock-absorbing TPU to cushion the tablet against repeated drops and impacts. The construction is designed to maintain its protective qualities over extended periods of handling rather than just a single knock. Users who need a built-in screen protector will not find one included.

Carry ergonomics

A 360-degree rotating hand strap adjusts for different hand sizes and locks into a kickstand for hands-free viewing angles. An adjustable, removable shoulder strap allows vertical or horizontal carry and can secure the tablet behind a car headrest. The sleeve-style design adds minimal bulk while keeping all ports accessible.

Questions about this item

Will the 360-degree rotating hand strap and kickstand loosen or rattle after daily all-day use?

The swivel hand strap is built to stay firm during extended sessions, and the integrated kickstand locks into viewing angles without wobble, so both remain stable through continuous daily handling.

Does my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 need to be the SM-T290 or SM-T295 model for this case to fit?

Yes — the case is moulded only for the SM-T290 and SM-T295 variants; it will not fit the S-Pen models SM-P200/SM-P205, the 2018 SM-T387, or the 2017 SM-T380/SM-T385.

Can I keep using my older Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2018 (SM-T387) in this case when I upgrade to the 2019 model?

No, the 2018 SM-T387 has different dimensions and port placement, so it cannot sit securely in this SM-T290/SM-T295 case.
