Beauty Dish Switch 24 inch
The Westcott Beauty Dish Switch is a 24 inch collapsible light modifier with a silver interior designed by photographer Joel Grimes. It directs a soft, clean pattern of light toward the subject for flattering portrait and fashion results. Interchangeable mount inserts allow compatibility with a wide range of strobes, speedlites, and monolights. The aluminum umbrella-inspired framework eliminates the need for separate support rods.
Sustained session handling
The solid aluminum framework maintains structural integrity during extended studio sessions without warping or misalignment. Collapsible construction allows the dish to be broken down instantly between setups, reducing physical strain during long shooting days. The silver interior coating retains its reflective properties under continuous high-output flash use. No active cooling or mechanical parts are present to degrade over time.
Setup and common issues
The umbrella-inspired frame opens and locks without separate support rods, enabling rapid deployment by a single person. Interchangeable mount inserts must be matched to the specific lighting brand to ensure a secure fit. The collapsible design folds into the included carry case for compact transport and storage. Users should verify insert compatibility before purchase to avoid connection instability.

Questions about this item
Does the 24" Beauty Dish Switch generate any noise or heat when used continuously with a strobe?
The dish itself is a passive modifier with no moving parts, so it produces no noise or heat; any warmth comes only from the attached light source.
Which light-mount insert do I need to already own for the 24" Beauty Dish Switch to fit my strobe?
The kit ships without a mount insert; you must purchase the specific insert that matches your strobe, speedlite or monolight brand.
Will the 24" Beauty Dish Switch work with my older monolight that uses a standard umbrella shaft?
Yes, when fitted with the appropriate insert it slides onto a standard 7 mm or 8 mm umbrella shaft just like a conventional umbrella.
