Sony Camera Integration

The Westcott FJ-T1 is a wireless flash trigger built specifically for Sony cameras using a dedicated hot-shoe connection. It serves photographers who want cable-free control over compatible Westcott FJ-series strobes and speedlights. The unit supports both TTL automatic exposure and full manual power adjustment. It is not suited for users of other camera brands or for controlling non-FJ lighting systems.

Sustained Shooting Behaviour

The trigger maintains a stable 2.4GHz radio link up to 80 metres (262 feet) across 31 channels and 16 groups, allowing reliable synchronization during extended sessions with multiple lights. High-speed sync functions at shutter speeds up to 1/8000s, preserving consistent flash output even during rapid burst sequences. Front- and rear-curtain sync modes remain accurate over long periods. The OLED touchscreen and digital crown provide immediate access to group settings without menu diving.

Thermals Noise and Power

The compact trigger body operates silently with no moving parts, adding no audible noise to quiet studio or event environments. Power is drawn directly from the camera hot shoe, eliminating the need for separate batteries or chargers during normal use. The OLED panel brightness is adjustable to suit ambient conditions while keeping energy draw low. Heat generation remains negligible during continuous operation.
