9" Recycled Scissors for Office & Home

Westcott KleenEarth 13138 scissors measure 9 inches overall with a 3.75 inch stainless steel blade. Handles contain 70 percent recycled plastic and 30 percent post-consumer content. The symmetrical design suits right- and left-handed users equally. A pointed tip aids detail cutting tasks.

Upgrade from basic all-plastic shears

Replace flimsy household scissors when blades dull quickly or handles crack. The stainless steel edge holds sharpness longer for repeated paper, card or tape cutting. Recycled-content handles reduce virgin plastic use without sacrificing grip comfort. The 10 year limited warranty backs the step up in durability.

Check your cutting needs before ordering

Ensure a 3.75 inch blade length matches the detail work you perform. Verify that straight, pointed-tip blades suit the materials you cut most often. Confirm the ambidextrous handle shape fits the hands of everyone sharing the tool. Consider whether a single pair covers the volume of daily use expected.

Questions about this item

How much space do the 3.75 inch blades need to open fully?

The 9 inch overall length means the 3.75 inch blades require roughly that much clearance to open completely.

Is there a specific way to adjust the pivot screw on model 13138 so the blades align?

Tighten the pivot just until the blades meet cleanly from base to tip; over-tightening makes them bind, while leaving it loose gives ragged cuts.

When will the stainless steel blades on these KleenEarth scissors need sharpening or replacement?

With normal office use the stainless steel edges stay sharp for years; the 10 year limited warranty covers defects, not routine wear.
