The cloth reduces output by 50 percent while preserving color accuracy, giving predictable control over main lights or bright daylight. It covers the full 4 by 4 foot frame area, so it handles broad sources in a single layer. It cannot substitute for heavier diffusion when more than a half-stop reduction is required, nor does it provide the reflection or blocking fabrics that the wider system offers.

Thermals noise and power draw
