Westcott 9x10ft Scarlet Red Backdrop

The Westcott 9x10ft Scarlet Red backdrop is a wrinkle-resistant polyester background designed for photographers and video creators who need a reliable, portable studio surface. Its generous 2.74 by 3 metre dimensions provide ample coverage for group portraits, interviews and full-body shots. The vibrant scarlet hue delivers consistent colour accuracy straight out of camera. A matching drawstring carry case is included for simple transport and storage.

Suited to mobile creators and studio work

This backdrop suits professionals who move between locations and need a crease-free surface that sets up quickly using the five built-in grommets and pole pocket. The reflection-free, machine-washable fabric keeps maintenance low and image quality high. Buyers who require a non-reflective chroma-key green or blue screen for compositing should look at a different product. Anyone needing a larger seamless paper roll for extended cyclorama floors will also need an alternative solution.

Five grommets and a pole pocket for mounting

The single specification that decides fit is the mounting system: five metal grommets along one edge plus a sewn pole pocket. Your support hardware must accept grommet hooks or a cross-pole to hold the 9x10ft fabric taut. If your stands only clamp to a hemmed sleeve or rely on adhesive tabs, this backdrop will not mount securely. Confirm your frame or stand matches this hardware before purchase.

Questions about this item

What type of backdrop stand or support system is needed to hang the 9x10ft Scarlet Red backdrop?

The backdrop includes five built-in grommets and a pole pocket, so it can be mounted on a standard crossbar or pipe system threaded through the pocket or clipped to the grommets.

Will the Scarlet Red fabric reflect light from older continuous lighting kits?

The surface is described as reflection-free, which helps eliminate unwanted glare and reflections when lit with traditional continuous or strobe lighting.

How can I verify the backdrop is laying flat and wrinkle-free after setup?

Check that the fabric is pulled taut across the pole pocket and grommets; the wrinkle-resistant polyester should show a smooth, crease-free Scarlet Red surface ready for shooting.
