Capacity and Interface

The Western Digital WD20EZRX is a 2TB 3.5-inch internal hard drive using a SATA 6.0Gb/s interface. It belongs to the WD Green series and is intended for desktop systems that need large, low-power storage. The bare-drive packaging suits builders adding secondary or bulk storage.

Sustained Load Behaviour

IntelliPower RPM adjusts rotation speed to balance throughput with reduced power consumption during long write or read sessions. The 64MB cache absorbs bursts so the drive maintains steady transfer rates without spinning up aggressively. This behaviour keeps heat and noise low over extended periods of use.

Build Quality and Connectors

The 3.5-inch form factor fits standard desktop drive bays and uses the familiar SATA data and power connectors. Eco-conscious design emphasises cool, quiet operation for always-on or near-line scenarios. A two-year limited warranty covers the drive, and retail or OEM packing may vary.
