#25 Franklin Clasp Catalog Envelope

The #25 Franklin Clasp Catalog Envelope measures 4.625" x 6.75" and uses 32# Golden Kraft paper with an open-end design. It is suited for offices and mailrooms that need a durable, SFI-certified paper envelope for catalogs, booklets or multi-page documents. The metal clasp and remoistening seal provide two closure options for secure transit. Each box contains 100 envelopes.

Installing and sealing

To use the envelope, insert contents through the open end on the 6.75" side, then moisten the flap adhesive or fasten the metal clasp for a tamper-evident seal. The center seam construction resists splitting when the envelope is fully loaded. A common issue occurs if the clasp prongs are not folded flat, which can catch on sorting equipment or tear adjacent mail pieces during automated processing.

Postal and handling limits

The 32# Golden Kraft stock meets SFI certification standards for responsible forestry but is not water-resistant or tear-proof under heavy handling. The open-end format limits use with automatic inserting machines that require a top-flap configuration. At 1.8 lbs per 100-count box, bulk cartons of 1000 envelopes add significant weight for storage and freight planning.
