5 x 7.5 Open-End Catalog Envelopes

These envelopes measure 5 inches by 7.5 inches and use an open-end format with a metal Franklin clasp. The 32-lb Golden Kraft stock is SFI certified and has a machine finish. They suit offices that file or mail flat documents up to this size. Buyers who need larger expansion or a peel-and-seal closure will not find those features here.

Thermals Noise Power

Paper envelopes generate no heat, produce no audible noise and draw no electrical power during handling or storage. They remain passive whether stacked on a shelf, processed through a mailroom or carried in a bag. No cooling, silencing or power-management considerations apply.

Metal Clasp and Remoistening Seal

The metal Franklin clasp allows the flap to be opened and closed repeatedly without tearing the paper. A remoistening seal provides a permanent tamper-evident closure when the envelope is ready to ship. The centre-seam construction keeps contents centred, and the box of 100 units fits standard mailroom shelving.

Questions about this item

How do I seal the remoistening flap on the 5 x 7.5 inch Franklin clasp envelope?

Moisten the gummed flap evenly, press firmly along the center seam, then engage the metal clasp for extra security; skipping the clasp step is the common error.

When will the SFI certified Golden Kraft paper or metal clasp need replacement?

The 32# paper and metal clasp are single-use; replace the envelope once the flap seal is broken or the clasp bends after opening.

How many envelopes from the 100-count box can I process before the center seam adhesive fails under repeated stuffing?

Each envelope is rated for one mailing cycle; the remoistening seal and center seam are not designed for re-stuffing after initial closure.
