Size and purpose

These envelopes measure 9 by 12 inches and weigh 28 lb per ream, making them suitable for mailing booklets, catalogues and multi-page documents without folding. The open-side design lets you insert thick stacks quickly, while the white sulphite stock presents a clean, professional appearance for business correspondence.

Seal and finish

A pressure-sensitive Kwik-Tak strip removes the need for moistening or separate adhesives, so each envelope closes with a firm press. The vellum finish resists smudging during handling, and the 92 % brightness keeps printed addresses legible under office lighting.

Construction and storage

Two side seams run underneath the envelope body, reinforcing the edges against splitting when fully loaded. The flat, flap-down layout stacks neatly in the supplied 500-count carton, which weighs 20.5 lb and fits standard shelving for easy inventory management.

Questions about this item

Will the Kwik-Tak pressure-sensitive seal on these envelopes need replacing over time?

The Kwik-Tak adhesive is designed for single use; each envelope seals once and does not require any maintenance or replacement parts.

What limit appears first when running large mailings through these 28 lb envelopes continuously?

The 28 lb paper weight and side-seam construction set the handling limit; heavy automated inserters may exceed the recommended thickness for reliable feeding.

How much heat or noise does the Kwik-Tak adhesive produce during all-day sealing?

The pressure-sensitive seal activates with hand pressure only, generating no heat and no noise during normal operation.
