#98 Open End Franklin Clasp Catalog Envelopes

The #98 Open End Franklin Clasp Catalog Envelopes measure 10 inches by 15 inches and are made from 32-pound Golden Kraft paper. They are designed for offices, schools and mailrooms that need a sturdy, reusable way to send catalogues, reports or bulky documents. Each box contains 100 envelopes.

Golden Kraft SFI Certified Machine Finish

The Golden Kraft stock carries SFI certification and has a machine finish that resists tearing during handling. The center seam construction distributes stress evenly, so the envelope holds its shape when filled. No power draw, noise or thermal output is involved in normal use.

Metal Clasp Remoistening Seal 100 Count Box

A metal Franklin clasp allows the flap to be opened and closed repeatedly without damaging the paper. The remoistening seal provides a traditional gummed closure for permanent mailing when required. The box of 100 units simplifies inventory tracking for high-volume shippers.

Questions about this item

How do you seal the remoistening flap on the #98 Franklin Clasp envelope and what step is often missed?

Moisten the gummed flap evenly, press firmly from the center outward, then engage the metal clasp; skipping the clasp leaves the envelope relying on glue alone.

What part of the #98 Golden Kraft envelope wears out first and needs replacing?

The metal clasp can bend or lose tension after repeated opening, while the remoistening gum dries out over long storage; either failure means the envelope must be replaced.

How many #98 10 x 15 envelopes can you process before the 32# paper shows stress at the center seam?

The 32# Golden Kraft with center seam handles typical catalog loads, but sustained bulk mailing of heavy inserts will stress the seam before the clasp or gum fails.
