Announcement Envelope Dimensions

These 4.375 x 5.75 inch envelopes suit formal correspondence, invitations and greeting cards. The A-2 size fits standard quarter-fold sheets without extra trimming. Bright White sulphite stock gives a clean background for printed or handwritten text. They are sold new in a rigid box of 500.

Paper Weight and Finish

At 24 lb weight the stock feels substantial yet feeds smoothly through most desktop printers. Vellum imaging finish reduces show-through and accepts toner or ink without feathering. Acid-free, SFI-certified paper resists yellowing and meets archival handling guidelines. The box weighs 5.5 lbs for easy shelf storage.

Sealing and Packaging

Two side seams under construction adds strength along the edges during mailing. Remoistening seal on the square flap provides a secure closure without tape or adhesives. The wrapped, non-collapsible box protects corners and keeps stacks flat until needed. Cartons contain 5000 envelopes for high-volume users.

Questions about this item

How do I seal the remoistening flap on the 4.375 x 5.75 announcement envelope without it sticking prematurely?

Moisten the gummed flap evenly with a damp sponge or envelope moistener, press firmly for a few seconds, and store the remaining 500-count box flat in its rigid wrapper to keep humidity from activating the seal early.

Will the 24 lb Bright White sulphite paper yellow or become brittle over time?

The stock is acid-free and SFI certified, so it resists yellowing and embrittlement far longer than standard paper when kept away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity.

At what point does the vellum imaging finish start to show ink feathering during a long print run?

The 24 lb vellum surface handles heavy toner or ink coverage well, but sustained high-volume laser printing can eventually heat the sheet enough to cause slight feathering on the 96% brightness white.
