A-2 Announcement Envelope 4.375 x 5.75

The WESTERN STATES A-2 announcement envelope measures 4.375 x 5.75 inches and uses 24# Whitecliff recycled sulphite paper. It suits offices, schools and individuals sending formal invitations, correspondence or greeting cards. The smooth imaging finish supports clean printing results.

Recycled Fiber-Added Whitecliff Paper

The envelope contains recycled, fiber-added Whitecliff coloured sulphite stock that is acid-free for archival safety. A smooth imaging finish improves toner adhesion and ink holdout during printing. Side-seam construction with a square flap and remoistening seal provides a secure, traditional closure.

Box of 500 Envelopes

Each box contains 500 envelopes and weighs 5.5 lbs, while a full carton holds 5000 units for high-volume mailing. The 24# paper weight handles standard letter inserts without excessive bulk. Very thick multi-page documents or rigid enclosures may exceed the practical capacity of this lightweight stock.

Questions about this item

Will the remoistening seal gum dry out before I finish the 500 envelopes?

The gum stays usable for years if the box is kept sealed and stored in a cool, dry place; only prolonged heat or humidity makes it lose tack.

What fails first when I run a full 500-envelope mailing through a laser printer?

The 24 lb Whitecliff sulphite handles laser heat without curling, so the printer’s feed rollers reach their duty cycle before the paper does.

How much heat does the box add to a small mailroom when it sits there all day?

The 5.5 lb carton is passive — it generates no heat and draws no power, so room temperature stays unchanged.
