Purpose and fit

These A-6 announcement envelopes measure 4.75 by 6.5 inches and come in a box of 500. They suit businesses, schools and households that send formal invitations, greeting cards or correspondence requiring a clean, professional presentation.

Paper quality and handling

The 24 lb bright white sulphite stock delivers 96 percent brightness with a vellum imaging finish that accepts ink cleanly. Acid-free construction helps prevent yellowing over time, and the SFI certification confirms responsible fibre sourcing. Each box weighs 6.5 lbs and ships in a rigid, non-collapsible carton.

Sealing and storage

A traditional remoistening seal on the square flap provides secure closure without extra adhesives. Two side seams underneath add strength during handling, while the flap-down orientation keeps contents aligned. The sturdy wrapped box protects the full 500-count supply until needed.

Questions about this item

How do I seal these A-6 envelopes, and what is the common mistake?

Moisten the remoistening seal on the square flap and press firmly; the error is applying too little moisture so the seal does not bond.

Will the paper yellow or become brittle over time?

The acid-free, SFI-certified sulphite stock resists yellowing and embrittlement, so archival quality is maintained without special storage.

At what quantity does the box weight become a handling issue?

Each box holds 500 envelopes and weighs 6.5 lbs, a manageable lift for most users; larger 5000-count cartons will need a trolley or two-person lift.
