Envelope Dimensions and Format

These open-end catalog envelopes measure 11.5 inches by 14.5 inches. The center-seam construction provides structural strength for mailing documents. Each envelope uses 28-pound Tan Kraft paper with a vellum finish. A remoistening seal secures the flap after insertion.

Paper Weight and Seal Constraints

The 28-pound stock resists tearing during handling but adds bulk to large mailings. Remoistening seals require moisture to activate and may not adhere well in very dry conditions. SFI certification confirms responsible fibre sourcing for the kraft paper. The center seam runs the full length of the envelope.

Quantity and Weight Verification

Each box contains 500 envelopes and weighs 32.5 pounds. Confirm your storage space can accommodate the carton dimensions and weight. Ensure your postage meter or scale handles the combined envelope and content weight. The tan kraft colour suits general business correspondence.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 11.5 x 14.5 inch 28# box of 500 or a different size for catalog mailings?

Choose this 11.5 x 14.5 inch 28# box of 500 when you need a single carton that holds 500 open-end catalog envelopes with a centre seam and vellum finish.

What does the 28# weight mean once the envelope is loaded and posted?

The 28# kraft paper gives a sturdy sheet that resists tearing when filled with catalogues or reports, yet keeps the filled envelope light enough for standard postage rates.

How does the open-end centre-seam design affect sealing and machine handling?

The open-end flap with remoistening seal closes securely by hand, while the centre seam feeds smoothly through inserting equipment without side-seam jams.
