Envelope dimensions and quantity

These catalog envelopes measure 9.5 by 12.5 inches and come in a box of 500. The open-end style suits flat documents such as reports, brochures or catalogues. White sulphite paper with a vellum finish gives a clean, professional appearance for everyday mailing.

Paper weight and sealing method

Each envelope uses 28-pound stock rated at 92 percent brightness for strong contrast with printed text. A centre-seam construction and remoistening seal provide a secure closure without additional adhesives. Verify that your postage scale and folder can handle the 12.5-inch length before ordering.

Handling weight and storage

A full box weighs 24.5 pounds, so plan shelf space and lifting accordingly. The sulphite paper resists curling in normal office humidity and feeds smoothly through most inserters. Buyers needing window envelopes, heavier board or peel-and-seal closures should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the 500-count box and what else do I need to seal them?

The box contains 500 white sulphite envelopes with a remoistening seal already on the flap, so no extra adhesive or tape is required.

How do I decide between the 28# weight and a lighter or heavier option?

At 28# the stock is substantial enough for catalogs and multi-page documents yet still feeds through most office printers and mail machines without jamming.

What does the 92% brightness figure mean when the envelope is sitting on a desk?

It indicates a bright white surface that makes printed addresses and logos appear sharp and high-contrast under normal office lighting.
