Purpose and Audience

These open-end catalog envelopes measure 12.5 x 18.5 inches and come in a box of 100. They suit offices and mailrooms sending flat, bulky documents such as catalogues, reports or manuscripts that must not be folded. The ungummed flaps let users choose their own sealing method for each shipment.

Deciding Specification

The 28-pound tan kraft stock carries SFI certification and a vellum finish for a professional feel. The center-seam construction adds strength along the middle, while the open-end format allows easy insertion of thick stacks without bending the corners. No window is present, so addressing is done directly on the envelope or with a label.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Each box weighs 9.1 lbs and cartons hold 500 envelopes for high-volume environments. The ungummed flaps remain flat during storage and do not stick together in humid conditions. The kraft material resists tearing during repeated handling through sorting equipment and postal networks.

Questions about this item

How large a document fits inside the 12.5 x 18.5 inch envelope?

The open-end design accepts flat materials up to 12.5 by 18.5 inches, so unfolded catalogs, brochures or legal bundles slide in without folding.

What does the 28-pound kraft rating tell me about durability?

The 28# SFI-certified kraft stock with vellum finish resists tearing in transit while remaining light enough for standard postage rates.

Will the center-seam, ungummed flap work with my folder-inserter?

The center seam runs the long way and the flap has no adhesive, so the envelopes feed cleanly through most inserters that accept open-end catalog sizes.
