Product Identity

These WESTERN STATES open side booklet envelopes measure 5.75 x 8.875 inches and use 28 lb White Kraft paper with an 84 brightness rating. The vellum finish provides a smooth surface for writing or printing. Each box contains 500 envelopes weighing 10.5 lbs total.

Ideal Use Cases

This size suits mailings that require a booklet format with the opening on the long edge, such as catalogues, annual reports or multi-page brochures. The side seam construction adds strength for heavier inserts. Buyers needing a window envelope, a larger capacity box or a different paper colour should look elsewhere.

Installation Notes

The envelopes arrive flat-packed in a 500-count box and require no assembly before loading into a printer or inserting machine. The remoistening seal activates with standard moisture applications. Misfeeds typically occur when the flap is not fully flattened or when the stack exceeds the feeder tray capacity.

Questions about this item

What printer paper path handles 5.75 x 8.875 inch envelopes for the 28# White Kraft stock?

Most desktop printers accept this size through the manual feed tray; set the media type to heavy or envelope and print a test sheet first.

Can these side-seam envelopes run through an older folder-inserter that expects centre-seam construction?

The two side seams under create a flat centre panel, so most folder-inserters designed for booklet envelopes will process them without jamming.

How do I confirm the SFI certification and 84% brightness on the delivered box?

The carton label lists SFI Certified and 84% Brightness; open one envelope to verify the vellum finish and remoistening seal.
