Westward 44R228 Auto Dark Welding Helmet

The Westward 44R228 is an auto-darkening welding helmet designed for eye protection during welding tasks. It features a nylon shell with blue, red and white graphics and a 26 cm width. The helmet includes a compatible Westward suspension system with a five-point adjustment headgear and a removable sweatband for a secure fit.

Welders needing variable shade and grind mode

This helmet suits welders who require adjustable shade ranges of 6-9 and 9-13 for different processes. The grind mode allows the lens to stay light for preparation work. Buyers who need a fixed-shade lens or a helmet without a grind function should look at other models. The lithium-ion battery provides up to 2,500 hours of life.

EN379 1/1/1/2 optical classification

The auto-darkening filter carries an EN379 classification of 1/1/1/2, indicating high optical quality across four performance categories. Analog controls manage the shade settings and a test button verifies the lens darkening function. A low-battery alarm alerts the user when the CR2450 cell needs replacement. An extra front cover lens is included.
