Manual Grease Gun for Heavy-Duty Lubrication

The Westward 4BY71 is a manual lever-action grease gun built for automotive and industrial maintenance. It delivers up to 10,000 psi operating pressure to force grease into tight fittings. The tool accepts standard 14 1/2 oz cartridges or 16 oz of bulk grease. It suits technicians who need reliable, high-pressure dispensing without pneumatic or battery power.

Loading Options and Rigid Pipe Extension

The gun loads via cartridge, bulk fill, or filler pump for workshop flexibility. A rigid 6 in steel pipe extension provides straight reach into confined fittings. Full-stroke operation requires 28 strokes per ounce for consistent output. The standard tether point allows secure attachment when working at height or over machinery.

10,000 psi Maximum Pressure Rating

This pressure ceiling determines whether the gun can service high-resistance fittings on heavy equipment. Buyers who need higher pressure for specialised hydraulic systems cannot meet that need with this model. The fixed rigid pipe also limits access to angled or recessed zerks that require flexible hose.

Questions about this item

How often will the lever mechanism need service on the Westward 4BY71 grease gun?

The lever action uses a full-stroke design rated for 10,000 psi output; keep the piston and seals clean and lubricated to maintain pressure performance.

What limits continuous use of the Westward 4BY71 at maximum pressure?

Each ounce of grease requires 28 full lever strokes, so sustained high-pressure delivery is limited by operator effort and the 14 1/2 oz cartridge capacity.

Does the Westward 4BY71 generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

As a manual lever gun it produces no motor noise or heat; only the mechanical action of 28 strokes per ounce is felt during extended use.
