A precision diagonal cutting plier with a flush-cut, narrow nose and spring-return jaws for fine wire work
The Westward 53JW93 is a 5 1/2 in precision diagonal cutting plier designed for flush cuts on small-gauge wire. Its narrow nose and spring-return jaws allow controlled trimming in tight panels, harnesses or circuit-board rework where standard side-cutters are too bulky.
Technicians who need a clean flush cut on copper or soft alloy conductors will find the narrow profile and cushion grip comfortable for repetitive use. The tool is not insulated, not ESD-safe and not non-sparking, so it should not be used on live circuits, in static-sensitive environments or in hazardous atmospheres.
The cutter accommodates wire and small components that fit within the half-inch jaw capacity, giving enough headroom for most bench-scale trimming tasks. Larger conductors, steel wire or anything exceeding the maximum opening will require a heavier-duty diagonal cutter with a wider jaw and higher leverage.

The 1/2 in maximum jaw opening accepts wires and small components that fit within that gap; select material that does not exceed the opening.
Yes, the spring return reduces hand fatigue and works the same way as traditional pliers, so you can switch between them without changing technique.
After cutting, inspect the wire end; a true flush cut leaves no protruding pinch or burr on the workpiece surface.
