Transparent PVC welding curtain

The ZORO SELECT curtain measures six feet wide by four feet high and uses 13 oz PVC material that is tinted transparent blue. It is designed for suspended mounting from a tube in welding work areas.

Grommet spacing and UV resistance

Brass grommets are placed every 12 inches around all four sides with 3/8 inch holes for secure hanging. The PVC coating provides UV resistance to help the curtain withstand prolonged exposure to welding arcs.

Temperature limit and material thickness

The curtain is rated for a maximum temperature of 150 degrees F and has a material thickness of 0.36 mm. It is not suited for environments that exceed this temperature or for applications requiring heavier gauge barrier material.

Questions about this item

How often will the 13 oz PVC need replacement under UV exposure?

The curtain is UV resistant, so the 13 oz PVC material resists degradation from welding arcs and sunlight, extending service life before replacement is needed.

At what temperature does the 0.36 mm PVC hit its limit during continuous welding?

The maximum temperature rating is 150 Degrees F, so sustained heat above that level will be the first limit reached under continuous use.

How much heat does the 6 ft by 4 ft curtain radiate when used all day?

The PVC curtain itself does not generate heat; it blocks UV and spatter up to 150 Degrees F, so ambient heat depends on the welding process, not the curtain.
