Universal Mounting Kit for 420SQ Receiver

This billet aluminium kit lets you install the Wet Sounds WS420-SQ head unit either in-dash or under-dash. The under-dash option also accommodates the WW-BT VC Bluetooth volume control. Machined from solid aluminium, the bracket provides a rigid, vibration-resistant platform for marine or off-road use. Builders who need a single-DIN chassis or an ISO-mount frame cannot use this kit.

Thermal and Electrical Behaviour

The mount is a passive metal bracket with no electronic components, so it generates no heat and draws no power. Its black powder-coated surface resists corrosion and does not affect the receiver’s operating temperature. Installers who require active cooling fans or integrated wiring harnesses will not find them here.

Included Hardware and Finishes

Each kit ships with the CNC-machined bracket in either black or silver powder coating and the fasteners needed to bolt the 420SQ unit in place. No mounting template, wiring adapters or software are supplied. Buyers expecting a full installation harness or a colour-matched bezel for a specific vehicle dashboard must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the WS420-SQ in-dash mount and what step is most often missed?

Cut the dashboard opening to the dimensions supplied in the kit, then bolt the receiver to the billet aluminium mount before securing the assembly in the dash.

What maintenance will the billet aluminium mount need over time?

The black powder-coated aluminium resists corrosion; occasional cleaning with a mild detergent and a soft cloth keeps the finish intact.

What is the first limitation you hit when running the WS420-SQ continuously at high volume?

The 420-series receiver will reach its thermal limit before the mount does, so ensure adequate airflow behind the dash.
