Game Identity

Back 4 Blood Standard Edition is a cooperative first-person shooter for PlayStation 4 from the creators of Left 4 Dead. It is designed for players who want a team-based campaign against the Ridden and competitive player-versus-player matches where both sides have unique abilities.

Build Fit

The disc requires a PlayStation 4 console and a PlayStation Network subscription for online co-op or PvP modes. It supports solo play with AI teammates so an internet connection is not mandatory for the campaign, freeing you from the need to coordinate schedules with friends.

Sustained Behaviour

The roguelike card system reshuffles modifiers each run, keeping difficulty and replay value consistent over long sessions rather than fading after the first playthrough. It is not suited for players seeking a purely single-player narrative without procedural variation or those who prefer turn-based strategy over real-time action.

Questions about this item

How long can I play Back 4 Blood in one session before the PS4 overheats?

The PS4 hardware manages its own thermal limits during extended play; the game itself does not impose a session time cap.

Does the disc drive spin loudly or make the console run hot while running Back 4 Blood all day?

Noise and temperature depend on the individual PS4 unit and its ventilation; the software does not change the console’s cooling behaviour.

What do I need besides the disc to start the co-op campaign?

A PlayStation 4 console, a DualShock 4 controller, an internet connection for online co-op, and a PlayStation Plus subscription for multiplayer.
