Stainless-steel wall-mount enclosure with IP66 and NEMA 4X ratings, 10 in high and 4 in deep

  • NEMA 12, 13, 4 and 4X rated protection
  • IP66 ingress resistance for harsh environments
  • 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion
  • 16 gauge metal thickness adds structural rigidity
  • 10 in height by 4 in depth compact footprint

10-inch stainless enclosure

The Wiegmann BN4100804CHSS is a 10-inch high, 4-inch deep wall-mount enclosure built from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel. It carries NEMA 12, 13, 4 and 4X ratings plus IP66, so it suits indoor or outdoor industrial panels that must resist dust, water jets and corrosion.

Replacing non-rated boxes

When an existing cabinet lacks a poured-in-place polyurethane gasket or external mounting plates, this unit upgrades the seal and mounting in one step. The jump is worth it for installers who need clamp-secured, hinged covers with stainless hardware included and a factory-fitted interior panel ready for DIN-rail gear.

Sustained wet and dirty duty

Under continuous exposure to wash-downs or airborne particulates, the seamless gasket and clamp closure maintain IP66 integrity without periodic retorquing. The smooth grained finish resists chemical buildup, while the solid cover and 304 steel withstand repeated thermal cycling in harsh process environments.

Questions about this item

What wall-mount hardware does the 10 in H enclosure require?

The unit includes external mounting plates for wall mounting; use the supplied stainless-steel screws to secure the plates to the mounting surface.

Which step is often missed when fitting the hinged cover?

The poured-in-place polyurethane gasket must seat fully in the channel before the screw-down clamps are tightened to maintain the NEMA 4X and IP66 seal.

When should the interior panel 3A928 be replaced?

Replace the 3A928 panel if it shows corrosion, physical damage or can no longer hold mounted components securely; the 16 ga stainless body and clamps are rated for the enclosure's service life.
