Wireway End Cap 4×4 in Gray Steel

This Wiegmann E0404 end cap closes a 4 in by 4 in wireway run. It is built from 16 ga steel with an ANSI 61 polyester powder finish in gray. The 1 in deep fitting includes knockouts for cable entry. UL E32576 and CSA LL66078 listings confirm NEMA Type 1 compliance.

Installers finishing HS or S series wireway systems

The cap suits electricians terminating a straight wireway section where a neat, code-compliant closure is required. It is not for outdoor or wet locations demanding NEMA 3R or higher. Buyers needing a larger cross-section or a different series fit should look at another size.

16 ga steel with ANSI 61 finish and knockouts

The 16 gauge steel thickness and ANSI 61 gray powder coating determine durability and corrosion resistance for indoor use. Integrated knockouts allow flexible conduit entry without field drilling. This construction decides whether the cap meets your project specification.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the end cap fits my 4×4 in wireway correctly after installation?

The cap matches the 4 in width and 4 in height dimensions; when seated, the knockouts align with the wireway openings and the ANSI 61 gray finish should sit flush with the existing run.

What hardware is included and what must be sourced separately?

The end cap itself is supplied; mounting screws, gaskets or additional fittings for the HS and S series wireways are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which version of the E0404 should I select for a NEMA Type 1 indoor installation?

The listed E0404 carries NEMA Type 1 and UL E32576 ratings, making it the correct choice for standard indoor wireway terminations.
