Straight Section Wireway 36in

The Wiegmann HS663NK is a 36-inch straight section wireway built from 16-gauge steel with a gray powder-coated finish. It provides a protected pathway for routing electrical cables in commercial and industrial environments. The hinged cover uses screw locking for secure closure. This length suits installations that need a single continuous run.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive cable management component the wireway generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no power. The steel construction and powder coating resist corrosion in dry indoor locations. NEMA 1 rating confirms protection against falling dirt. CSA certification and UL listing verify compliance with North American safety standards.

16 gauge steel 6 by 6 inch cross section

The 6-inch by 6-inch interior cross section determines the maximum cable fill capacity for the run. Installers must verify that the conductor count and insulation diameter stay within the allowed fill percentage for this gauge. Buyers who need a larger cross section or a different gauge cannot use this section.

Questions about this item

How is the 36 in straight section mounted and what step is often missed?

Mount the 16 ga steel section to a flat surface using the hinged cover screw locking style; the step often missed is ensuring all screw covers are fully tightened to maintain the NEMA 1 rating.

What maintenance will the powder coated finish need over time?

Inspect the gray powder coated surface periodically for scratches or corrosion; touch up any damaged areas promptly to preserve the CSA certified and UL listed protection.

What limit appears first when the wireway runs continuously at full cable capacity?

The 6 in by 6 in cross section fill limit is reached before heat becomes an issue; plan cable counts to stay within the 1 rating enclosure capacity.
