The Wiegmann N1C121204 is a wall-mountable line protection enclosure rated NEMA 1 for indoor use. It is built from 14 ga carbon steel with an ANSI 61 gray powder-coated finish and a solid hinged cover secured by a 1/4-turn latch.

NEMA 1 indoor protection limits

A NEMA 1 rating provides a degree of protection against contact with enclosed equipment and falling dirt. It is not designed to protect against water ingress, oil, corrosive agents or outdoor weather exposure.

Verify mounting and panel needs

Confirm the 12 in height, 12 in width and 4 in depth suit the available wall space and allow for the 3.88 in usable opening depth. Ensure the included 2W822 interior panel matches the intended component layout and that grounding provisions meet local code requirements.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12 in by 12 in by 4 in N1C enclosure or a different size?

The N1C121204 measures 12 in high, 12 in wide and 4 in deep with a 14 ga carbon steel body and ANSI 61 gray powder coat; choose it when those exact dimensions match your panel and mounting space.

What does the NEMA 1 rating mean once the box is mounted on the wall?

NEMA 1 provides indoor protection against falling dirt and accidental contact; the hinged solid cover with 1/4-turn latch and grounding provisions keeps the interior clean and safe in a dry, non-hazardous location.

How do the CSA and cULus listings limit what I can install inside?

The CSA certified and cULus listed enclosure accepts the included 2W822 interior panel and any components that fit within the 3.88 in usable opening depth while meeting the same standards.
