Carbon steel enclosure with hinged solid cover and quarter-turn latch, 24 in wide by 24 in high by 8 in deep, 14 ga, ANSI 61 gray powder coat, UL listed
The Wiegmann N1C242408LP is a NEMA 1 rated carbon-steel enclosure built for indoor circuit-breaker and line-protection installations. Its 14 ga construction and ANSI 61 gray powder coat suit commercial and light-industrial electrical panels.
The solid hinged cover with 1/4 turn latch provides a sealed interior that contains heat from mounted breakers without active cooling. Passive dissipation through the steel walls keeps operating temperatures stable and the enclosure silent in normal use.
Replaces older NEMA 1 boxes that lack a flush-mount latch or a factory-fitted interior panel such as the 34C523. The jump is worth it when a project demands cULus listed construction with a 7.88 in usable opening depth for deeper devices.

Use the wall-mounting holes on the 14 ga carbon-steel body; the step many miss is checking that the 7.88 in usable opening depth clears your internal components before final tightening.
The 1/4 turn latch on the hinged solid cover is the only moving hardware; it should be inspected periodically and replaced if the spring or cam wears.
The NEMA 1 rating and ANSI 61 powder coat are designed for indoor heat dissipation; sustained loads that raise internal temperature above the panel's rating will trigger the thermal limit first.
